Kacey of Recipe for a baby is going to open up the week for us with her contribution to the The Monday Snapshot – an evolution of the MMM feature, meant to bring the PAIL blogroll to life by giving its members a chance to feature themselves and make new connections.

I don’t get out much. With two little boys it seems too daunting at the moment to get out of the house with both of them. So my outings are restricted to the weekends when BJ is not working. The times I’ve gone out by myself are mostly to get groceries (not my idea of a fun trip out of the house).

So when an old friend asked if I wanted to go to a food and wine festival, I jumped at the chance to get out among adults doing something I enjoy – eating and drinking! We had a great time sampling food we had never eaten before (duck) and also food we looooove (double choc brownies). We also gave our opinion on some of the wine and cider they had available.

It was a lovely sunny warm day here, for Autumn, so a hat was a must. Here is my fedora and tasting glass as well as a photo of my two little guys! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Now, get to know a little more about Kacey with her answers to the Monday Snapshot “5 Questions”:

1) How long have you been blogging and how did you get started?

I started blogging in December 2010 after our first failed IVF. I started reading IF blogs after stumbling across bloggers on IF forums. I loved reading other people’s stories so I thought I would share mine.

2) Tell us a little about your ALI journey and your family (3-4 sentences):

BJ and I have been together since 2001, we got married in May 2007 and started TTC in October 2008. After two years of trying, testing and hoping we had our first IVF cycle in October 2010 which ended up as a BFN but we had two frozen embryos in storage. In February 2011 we had one embryo transferred and James was born in October 2011. In July 2012 we found out that baby number two was on their way and in February 2013, Patrick was born.

3) What makes you unique in the blogging world? (e.g. special talent, rare diagnosis, life experience)?

I don’t think that I’m too unique in the blogging world. One that that does set me apart is that we live in one of the most beautiful places on earth, Tropical North Queensland Australia.

4) One word to describe yourself:

Chocoholic

5) What blog or website (IF or not) would you recommend to others? Why?

I discovered Raspberri Cupcakes a couple of months ago. If you love whipping up a storm in the kitchen go and check out Raspberri Cupcakes for some yummy recipes!
