One of the things that happens a lot around here lately is baby naps on me while I study. In this case, it comes with the added bonus of showing off Little Monster’s really amazingly leopard print outfit with a ruffley pink heart on the seat. Here she was napping and interrupting me working on some practice patient scenarios. I’m pretty sure I didn’t kill any of them (on paper) last week, so that’s the good news. Her wardrobe includes two leopard print with heart on the seat outfits! I had no idea babies were meant to wear leopard print, but I think she pulls it off pretty well. We’ve been enjoying Little Monster getting big entirely too fast since her (slightly early at around 37 weeks) arrival in mid-February and this outfit is one of her 3 month size outfits that she’s recently grown into.

Now, get to know a little more about Ms. Future Pharm D with her answers to the Monday Snapshot “5 Questions”:

1) How long have you been blogging and how did you get started?

I started back in the dark ages of blogging with a Live Journal about 12 years ago and have blogged in various venues since. This blog started in the fall of 2011 when I was briefly knocked up

2) Tell us a little about your ALI journey and your family (3-4 sentences):

We started off expecting trouble conceiving and were shocked with a successful (if a bit rocky) pregnancy right off the bat, during which I was diagnosed with PCOS. When it came time to think about kid 2, it took us 3 years, 3 early miscarriages, and giving up before another surprise (so far) successful pregnancy. The spouse and I have been together just about a decade now and we waited a few years before trying because “we were so young,” although that hasn’t helped us avoid infertility.

3) What makes you unique in the blogging world? (e.g. special talent, rare diagnosis, life experience)?

I’m in pharmacy school and a mom (not that unusual but nobody is talking about it much) and oh the joys of secondary infertility.

4) One word to describe yourself:

Scatterbrained

5) What blog or website (IF or not) would you recommend to others? Why?

In my imaginary free time, I love the wilderness and I spend a lot of time following The Wilderness Classroom’s various neat adventures all over the globe. Currently they have teams approaching the South Pole and circumnavigating North America, and the website is designed for classrooms of students to follow along so there are neat interactive lessons that go with it if you have bigger kids to share it with.
